Our safety concept for your protection

Our 5-star superior hotel on Lake Lugano is an exceptional haven of relaxation where you can feel safe and protected. We ensure it with our sophisticated safety and hygiene concept created in close cooperation with top health experts, which we adjust to meet the needs of the current situation. Our dedicated team is familiar with all measures and regularly receives training – safety comes first! Our safety measures at a glance

General measures
  •  
  • Online check-in from the comfort of home: We will send you all the required forms before your day of arrival.
  • Expansive grounds spread across 23.5 hectares in the midst of unspoilt nature: that means each guest has 1,000m2 of carefree holiday pleasure.
  • 3,000m2 private beach directly on Lake Lugano: The sunbeds have been arranged to ensure a safe distance between guests.
  • Highest hygiene standards: All areas are regularly cleaned and disinfected using ozone and steam-cleaning. All high-touch points in the guest shuttle are disinfected after each journey. Staff members only handle your luggage with gloves, which are changed each time, and luggage trolleys are cleaned every four hours.
  • There are disinfectant dispensers, disposable disinfectant wipes, and cleaning wipes throughout the entire hotel area.
  • All contact points that are frequently touched are constantly cleaned and disinfected.
  • Employees who are in contact with guests for more than 15 minutes and cannot maintain a safe distance of two metres wear protective masks.
  • Our employees have received excellent hygiene and safety training. Before the beginning of their shift, each employee has their temperature checked.
  • If you do not have a face mask with you, we will be happy to provide you with one. For everyone’s safety, we ask that you wear a mask whenever the required minimum distance cannot be maintained.
  • Please also follow the specified safety rules when outside ARIA Retreat & SPA.
  • For safety reasons and to prevent gatherings of people, we are currently not holding any events.

Suites
  • Your suites are cleaned once a day. While cleaning, the cleaners wear protective clothing.
  • The suites and furniture are disinfected regularly and steam-cleaned to remove viruses and bacteria.
  • Bedding is washed at a temperature of at least 70°C to kill any bacteria present.
  • Room service is available 24 hours a day.
Restaurants & bars
  • Our restaurants are open for you (seasonal or weather-dependent closures possible). Close attention is paid to the maintenance of a safe distance and compliance with the highest hygiene standards.
  • We ask you to book a table at your restaurant of choice in plenty of time. (This does not apply to our beach restaurant.)
  • All employees must wear a face mask.
  • Face masks do not need to be worn at the table or at the bar. However, we ask that you wear a mask when visiting the buffet.
  • Our rich breakfast as well as dishes at lunch and evening meals will mostly be served at your table until further notice.
  • Room service is available 24 hours a day.
Kids’ club
  • Club Bim Bam Bino is open as usual. However, for organisational reasons, reservations must be made by the night before at the latest.
  • Children are cared for in small groups.
  • Activities mostly take place outdoors.
  • All children’s areas are continually cleaned and disinfected.
Beach and swimming pools
  • All sun beds and umbrellas have been rearranged so you can enjoy soaking up the sun at a safe distance from others. On the beach, each sun bed is in an area of at least 10m2, with an area of at least 7m2 around the pool.
  • All sun beds are regularly disinfected.
SPA
  •  
  • The SPA area and swimming pools are open, as chlorine and high temperatures kill the virus.
  • To guarantee the highest levels of safety for you, at busy times the number of visitors will be limited as a precaution and a booking system will be put in place. If necessary, we will extend the opening times.
  • Beauty treatments and massages may be booked in advance.
  • Dirty laundry is packed into plastic bags, which are then sealed. Laundry is washed at 70⁰C.
